We are looking for a Project Engineer in Electrical and Power for the Swedish Transport Administration.

This is a consulting assignment. The work location is Västerås, Malmö, or Gothenburg.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role as a resource consultant/project engineer within department IVsyrn1 National Program Electrical and Power, Business Area Investment, involves working closely with one or more project managers responsible for the implementation of investment projects within electrical power facilities. The projects include line-bound power such as yard and tunnel lighting, transformer stations, and larger power supply facilities such as converters with associated support systems (station computers and relay protection). The work is primarily conducted from the office but also includes site visits for inspections and assessments. The projects are carried out nationwide and vary in size from a few million up to 1 billion SEK. The assignment also includes procurement, contract management, and knowledge transfer to the employees of the Swedish Transport Administration. The role is mainly administrative and supportive within project management, planning, monitoring, and financial management, with the opportunity to further develop within the project engineer role.

Responsibilities

Work with forecasts and cost monitoring

Financial administration, i.e., handling invoices and orders, work prior to year-end closing, etc.

Manage the project's internal administration such as project specifications, project routines, permissions, access, presentation materials, etc.

Work with the project's document management

Arrange meetings, be responsible for invitations, bookings, etc.

Take notes and minutes during meetings

Work with risk management within the project

Support project managers with scheduling, administration, monitoring, finance, etc.

Preparation and management of quarterly and/or monthly reports

Follow up and update the project's control program, project specifications, facility-specific requirements, etc.

Participate in the reception control of the consultant's/contractor's delivered documents and follow up on the quality of the documents

Contribute to the work with permits and agreements

Participate in the procurement of designers and contractors

Contribute to the work with management data

Work on the handover of the project to the manager

Act as a meeting leader if necessary.

Participate in inspections and assessments as a representative of the Swedish Transport Administration if necessary.

Requirements (Mandatory)

Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Degree (at least 180 credits or equivalent) in engineering, civil engineering, or construction.

At least 24 months of work experience as a project engineer in railway projects for a client. The work experience must not be older than 5 years from the date of the bid.

Driver's license B.

Meritorious

Training in standard agreements ABK09, AB04, and ABT06.

Documented training BASÄVISTA.

You have been a project engineer in railway projects on the client side for at least 36 months.

You have actively participated in the preparation of at least two tender documents and participated in at least two procurements on the client side that are subject to the Public Procurement Act for railway contracts in the last 5 years.

You have documented good experience with the Swedish Transport Administration's systems Project Portal, CDI, and C7 for at least 24 months in the last 5 years.

You have documented good experience working from the client side with consultants and contractors in railway projects for at least 24 months in the last 5 years.
